South Indian Chicken Roast

Chicken Roast prepared in the South Indian tradition has a great taste and we all enjoy it to have it on every Sunday along with all family members. Now this is your turn to try this unique taste and flavour. Enjoy !

Ingredients:

1. Chicken - 1 kg.
2. Red Chilli Powder - 1 teaspoon.
3. Pepper powder - 1 teaspoon.
4. Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 spoons.
5. Lemon - 1 no.
6. Coconut Oil - 100 gms.
7. Ghee - 50 gms.
8. Curd - 2 tablespoons.
9. Red 'Colour Powder' - 1 pinch.

Preparation Procedure:

Step 1. Clean the chicken.
Step 2. Add curd, ginger garlic paste, red powder, lemon juice and marinate the chicken for about 2 hours.
Step 3. In pressure cooker, heat the oil with ghee, red chilli powder, pepper powder, salt and then the chicken pieces.
Step 4. Cook for 20 minutes.
Step 5. Deep fry the chicken until it is roasted well.
Step 6. Serve hot.

Secret Taste Tip
  • Garnish with fried onions and lemon pieces.
  • Garnish with coreander leaves on and around the chicken.

can use a frying pan too i think, pressure cooker is also thick bottomed kno..........really sounds yummy...
